Where a kopi cart fits into your wedding day

A Genista Ln kopi cart earns its place in the parts of the day nobody puts on the running sheet: the wait after the solemnisation, the hour before the doors open, the stretch where half the room has nothing to hold. Here is how it runs, from your first message to the photographs afterwards.

  1. When you’re planning

We shape the package around your guest list and your budget

Genista Ln puts together a few options at different guest counts and price points, so you can see what a wedding kopi cart costs before committing to anything. Numbers move while the RSVPs come in and ours move with them: cart size, serving window and menu are all adjustable, and we will tell you which tier we would pick ourselves. Send your date, your venue and a rough headcount, and the itemised proposal comes back within 24 hours.

A Genista Ln barista talking through the running order with two venue staff beside the cart, the ordering guide and cup stack laid out on the counter.
Genista Ln kopi pouches packed into an insulated tote bag, the label ticked for Horkasai and hand-dated to be drunk by 8am the next morning.
  2. After the solemnisation

We fill the gap between the vows and the photographs

A Genista Ln kopi cart is set up and pouring within 45 minutes, which covers the stretch after a church solemnisation while the two of you are away being photographed. Your guests have somewhere to stand and something warm to hold, rather than drifting towards the car park.

  3. When the room fills up

Half your room is not drinking anything from the bar

Genista Ln’s Nanyang menu covers the half of a Singapore wedding that is nowhere near the bar: the aunties and uncles, the grandparents, the children, and whoever is driving everyone home. Kopi, teh, Milo, yuan yang and Horkasai, and the other half of the room joins the queue anyway.

Guests crowded around the Genista Ln kopi cart in a hotel foyer outside the ballroom doors, many of them older relatives waiting with cups in hand.
  4. When your parents arrive

Nobody has to explain the menu to your parents

Genista Ln brews real Nanyang kopi through a sock filter, the way a kopitiam in Singapore has always brewed it, so the older half of your guest list already knows exactly what to ask for. There is no novelty to get past and nothing to learn at the front of a queue. It is the cup they have had every morning for most of their lives, poured at your wedding.

A queue of guests of mixed ages waiting at the Genista Ln cart in a hotel foyer, among them a young woman in a peach hijab and green kebaya and two older men, one in a dark suit and one in a grey fedora.
  5. Long after the last cup

Your design on every cup, and in everybody’s photos

Genista Ln prints your own wedding design onto the cups and dresses the cart to match your styling, with a monocolour stamp or a 3 cm or 4 cm sticker. Guests photograph the drink before they taste it, so the artwork the two of you chose keeps turning up in other people’s camera rolls for the rest of the week.
